Time-slot booking & supplier appointments

The working day starts
before the truck arrives.

When appointments live in phone calls, emails and separate spreadsheets, the gate and warehouse can end up working from different information. A shared booking system makes expected arrivals visible.

What does time-slot booking handle?

A booking system organises supplier appointments into available time slots. In YardFlow, logistics can see which delivery is expected when and how much capacity an interval uses. A booking can carry the licence plate, partner and delivery-note details, so the gate can match an arrival to a specific delivery.

Capacity comes from your operation.

The number of docks, shifts and deliveries accepted in a slot can be configured for the site. Booking checks the capacity limit. A calendar with optional five- and seven-day views gives weekday operations more room for relevant information.

The appointment continues at the gate.

Staff can find the recorded delivery in the gate view. At arrival, they select the booking and capture the driver’s phone number. The warehouse then sees the waiting truck, assigns a dock and calls it forward. The information stays with the delivery throughout the visit.

Practical questions before implementation.

How many docks operate at the same time? Which shifts accept trucks? Who creates and approves bookings? How are unexpected arrivals handled? These everyday questions determine the setup and provide a useful basis for a quotation.
